Amber Hughes hired me for a beautiful wedding in downtown Vancouver. I began the day with the groom and his family at their home, having breakfast!

The ring bearer loved to have his photo taken, and had lots of great poses for me!

We headed off to Knox United Church for the ceremony.

And now for many beautiful moments around downtown Vancouver, starting in Stanley Park.

Jessica changed into her beautiful traditional gown for the tea ceremony, and we managed to capture a few moments outside.

The reception was at the Pan Pacific Hotel, and was beautifully decorated with purple orchids!

I began our day together at Emily Michaela’s house while she got ready for the big event!

Her shoes were so fun!!

I love the look on Michaela’s face as her tiara and veil were placed on her hair.

Meanwhile Tyler and our assistant Micheline Ryckman were with the groom catching his getting ready moments and details.

His groomsmen were awesome, and provided much humour throughout the day!

Off we went to the ceremony at the Holy Rosary Cathedral dowtown.

The inside of the church is simply breathtaking!

We then wandered around various locations downtown catching photos of the bridal party and Jeffrey and Michaela.

Michaela’s four beautiful younger sisters were her bridesmaids!

The groomsmen came up with some awesome moments!

Michaela was absolutely gorgeous!

We had to capture her message of ‘I Do’ on the bottom of her shoes!

Jeffrey was very handsome in his uniform, it suited him perfectly!

Off to the reception! The outdoor venue was in the picturesque HMCS Discovery Military Mess in Stanley Park. This beautiful site had the breathtaking Coal Harbour to look upon, and as the night darkened the city lit up and sparkled!

Trumpet tryouts prompted the couple to kiss!

The cakes were so wonderful! So much variety!

There were a few games before the speeches began.

And let the dance begin!

Well here it is, our first wedding of the season posted! Mel and Kelly are simply wonderful, sweet and joyful people, and it was an honour to be a part of their day! It all started with the ceremony at their home church in New West:

And off to Queen’s Park for some portraits!

We drove to some second locations I happened upon that were simply amazing!!

Kelly was so stunning!!

And Mel was was a perfect match!

Their bridal praty was so much fun!!

I love this sequence, it makes me laugh every time I see it!!

And off to the Delta Hotel in Richmond for the reception!

There were so many laughs, and so many touching speeches! Their friends and family were so supportive and loving, it was a delight to see how much this couple has touched so many people’s lives. Mel and Kelly your hearts are truly made of gold!

Kelly’s brother presented a hilarious play for them as a gift!

The father-daughter dance was beautiful!

I am too excited to wait until I am finished editing, I had to share this amazing and fun couple and this awesome location we found! You guys are simply stunning!

Brent & Jenna’s outdoor country wedding was simply beautiful! I began the day at Brent’s house snapping some getting ready photos while watching World Cup Soccer!

Brent made his dad polish his shoes!!

Off to the outdoor ceremony:

I love the look this sweet little flower girl gave me when she noticed I was photographing her!

The ring bearer certainly wasn’t going to loose the cuteness competition! Look at his handsome little face! He was all smiles (and the occassional lip puckers for fun) the whole ceremony!

They custom made dilly bars, and the sticks had a thank you message inside!
