So this is it, the last photos of 2011, and the last blog posting for Karen Dyke Photography! What a great way to end a wonderful year, with some returning clients who just had a new addition, baby Nixon!

This family was delightful! It makes me smile to look at all the photos, because their daughters had so many funny ideas and the whole family lit up when they laughed! You could tell there was much love here, and I felt honoured to photograph them.

This was my last family posting since Karen Dyke Photography is now closed. Stay tuned in the new year for the very last posting, a newborn session that will be adorable!

Merry Christmas!

I was able to meet the Carr family after they received their session as a gift certificate last Christmas. It was a dark and stormy looking day, however Blackie Spit offered so many beautiful backgrounds and vibrant cheerful colours, I think taking winter photos there is my fabourite time!

Little Maya was a ray of sunshine on a rather gloomy rainy November day. She is so beautiful and was so serene for her photo session, taking all the cake smash shenanigans in stride!
